Diamond Education

At Brilliant Bloom, we believe that understanding your diamond is just as important as wearing it. Our Diamond Education guide empowers you to make confident, informed choices

Understanding the 4 Cs

The quality and character of a diamond are defined by four key attributes — known as the 4 Cs. Here’s what you need to know:

Cut

The cut determines how well a diamond reflects light, influencing its brilliance and fire. Precision in cutting enhances the stone’s visual appeal.
  • Popular shapes include Round, Oval, Emerald, Pear, and Princess

Clarity

Clarity refers to the presence of internal or external imperfections, known as inclusions and blemishes. Most are microscopic and do not affect the diamond’s beauty.
  • Brilliant Bloom offers VS/SI clarity diamonds — a balance of purity and value
  • These grades ensure exceptional quality without unnecessary premium costs

Color

Diamonds are graded on a scale from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow or brown). The less color present, the higher the grade.
  • D–F: Colorless — rare and highly sought-after
  • G–J: Near colorless — excellent value with minimal visible tint
  • Color preference may vary depending on setting and personal style

Carat

Carat measures the diamond’s weight, not its size. While larger carats are often associated with luxury, brilliance and proportion are equally important.
  • Consider lifestyle, budget, and design when selecting carat weight
  • Smaller carats can offer elegance and versatility, especially in stackable or minimalist designs

Setting Styles & Metal Options

Each diamond deserves a setting that enhances its character. Our pieces are crafted in 14k gold — available in yellow, white, and rose tones — to suit a range of aesthetics.
